Training

Why Do Leaders Have To Be Trained?

Girl Scouts is built on the foundation of its adult volunteers. Your dedication and commitment will help our girls develop to their fullest potential and become leaders of tomorrow.

Girl Scout training is one of the many resources available to you as a volunteer. It is your chance to learn the "how to's" of providing quality and safe experiences for girls. It will also make your volunteer experience more exciting and rewarding.

Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) and the Girl Scouts of Citrus Council (GSCC) believe that trained adults are key to the success of the Girl Scout movement. They require that all adults that hold a position in Girl Scouting must take the training called for in her/his position and that a fully trained leader should be with a troop at all times. It is a volunteer's responsibility to complete the required training. You must be a registered member of Girl Scouts of the USA to attend training.
