Order a copy of "Birthplace Bound" - This is essential for leaders to have when planning a trip to Savannah. It is published by the Juliette Low Birthplace and contains information on everything you need to know in Savannah. It is updated every year so you might want to order another one closer to the time that you are actually going. To order call (912) 233-4501. There is no cost. You can get it in booklet form through the mail or a PDF file sent to your e-mail.

Take a training on Savannah from Citrus Council - Citrus Council often offers a training on taking your troop to Savannah. Check the training manual to see if one is available this year.

Check the Internet for information on Savannah - There are lots of pages out there with useful information. Remember to bookmark them for future reference.

Choose your dates and make up a preliminary itinerary - You can't make reservations until you have your dates, so decide on them right away.

Make reservation for a Heritage Visit Workshop - This is the time to make reservations at the Juliette Low Birthplace for one of their Heritage Visit Workshops. They fill up almost a year ahead of time. There are many of them to choose from. The choices are listed in the Birthplace Bound booklet.
