Registration Procedures

Please follow the steps below when registering a troop or/individual girls or adults.

Step 1 - Have the parents or guardians complete the Girl Registration form. Ask them to:

  • Check the preprinted information on the sheet. If something is incorrect they can cross it out and write in the correct information.
  • Fill in the school, parent and emergency information.
  • Fill in the years of scouting - counting this year.
  • Fill in the ethnic AND racial information.
  • Sign the consent form.
  • Return the form with the $12 membership dues.

Step 2 - Have the adults fill out their blue Adult Registration forms. Ask them to:

  • Check the preprinted information on the sheet. If something is incorrect they can cross it out and write in the correct information.
  • Fill in the years of scouting - counting this year.
  • Fill in the work information and phone numbers.
  • Fill in the ethnic AND racial information.
  • Fill in the position code and troop number.
  • Sign the form.
  • Return the form with the $12 membership dues.

Step 3 - Once  the forms have been collected check to see that:

  • All the necessary information has been filled in including the ethnic and racial.
  • The forms have been signed.
  • The membership dues of $12 per registration accompanies the form.

Step 4 - Make sure that all adults who are registering either have a Background Check  form on file or have one accompanying the registration:

  • Their registration will not be processed with a background check.
  • If they prefer to take their background check directly to Council then the registrar will need a confirmation that the form was received
     before the registration can be processed.

Step 5 - Fill out the Membership Dues Summary

  • Fill in the top area: Council Code is 312, All returning troops are "Reregistering", Report Code is 319 and Registration Area is 610.
  • Check "Troop".
  • Check "8-12 months".
  • Check how frequently your troop meets.
  • Check the level that your troop will be next year.
  • Check the type of meeting place that your troop meets at the fill in the required information.
  • Write in the number of girls and adults registering.
  • On the "total registrations" line fill out the amount of girls + adults that your are registering.
  • On the "total amount of dues" line write in the dollar amount of dues that you are submitting with your registrations.
  • On the "Contributions received" line put in the amount of GIFTS donations that were sent in with your registrations.
  • On the "Total" line write in the total amount of money from the lines above

 

Step 6 - Turn everything in to the Unit Registrar.
