One of the most important lessons
that we can teach our girls is the value of doing
community service. They need to learn how to look
beyond themselves to see the importance of helping
others. This not only makes them a better person,
but a better leader. And making girls into leaders
is what Girl Scouts is all about.
Communities that have a large
volunteer force are great places to live. There are many different ways to give
service to the community. While donating money is a worthy thing to do, the
hands-on approach is a better way to teach the girls about giving back to their
communities.
