shaded and there are lots of hiking trails. St. Augustine is also
nearby for sightseeing and shopping.

tents and cabins. The cabins are heated which makes it great since
the best time to see the Manatees is in January. It also has a canoe
rental and a great location for hiking. Nearby is DeLeon Springs
which has hiking and great restaurant where you can cook your own

Expensive, The best
place to pitch tents is in Creekside Meadow which doesn't have power
outlets. Other sites are mostly for RV's though one large or two
small tents can be put on them

there is a fishing area. It's a fun place to watch the cruise ships

Pluses
- . This is a nice spot for first time tent camping since it is not
too far from home or civilization. Each site has a picnic bench and
grill with bathhouses nearby. There is a lake for swimming however
you need to check on whether or not lifeguards will be present. You
can take nature walks through the park or play games in the big
field. There is a pavilion that can be rented. Fishing is also
permitted but you must bring your own equipment. The Sand Hill
Cranes walk freely around the park and are a fun sight to see.

Drawbacks - It
can get very hot in the spring/summer times so get a site with
shade. Also there are A LOT of creatures at Moss Park that will
invade your campsite if you are not prepared - raccoons, armadillos
etc.

Has cabins and
big open area to pitch tents along with a large screened pavilion
with picnic tables and cooking area inside, bathhouse with showers,
large swimming pool with lifeguards, places to hike, large playground,
petting farm and bike areas

They always insist that Council send them a special insurance form
when you camp. The Membership Marketing Manager from Council can handle this.
